Bon Congé is a 42-foot 1928 Elco Flat Top motor yacht with a recently modernized power plant. She has been meticulously restored over 16 years, with extensive research into original specifications and careful replication of unavailable parts using Mystic Seaport and Elco archives.
The yacht features hand-crafted fiberglass planking with canvas detailing on her decks, wide walkways, and mahogany seating fore and aft. Bronze hardware throughout—including stanchions, cleats, and door fittings—has been lovingly restored or fabricated to original specifications and gleams like polished gold.
The pilothouse leads to a master en-suite with tiled deck and shower. The master stateroom accommodates a couple with a port-side outboard berth and includes a separate day bed with upholstered backrest. Original vintage items remain aboard including a 110V electric fan in the wheelhouse and period stove top toaster and mixer in the galley.
