62ft 1964 Huckins Atlantic

BREAKAWAY is a 1964 Huckins Atlantic, a classic wooden motor yacht featuring Frank Pembroke Huckins' renowned Quadraconic planing hull design from 1928. This advanced hull design allows the 62-foot vessel to plane efficiently despite her heritage, combining classic aesthetics with performance. The yacht underwent comprehensive restoration at the legendary Huckins shipyard in Jacksonville, Florida between 1996-1999, receiving new 600 HP CAT 3176B diesel engines and helm improvements.

The vessel accommodates three staterooms and two heads, with dedicated crew quarters forward. The fully appointed Hinckley galley spans the full beam with 20+ square feet of Corian counter space and high gloss cherry cabinetry. The helm deck features a lower helm station with modern electronics and a rolled-tufted command seat, plus an upper pilothouse with STRATA GLASS enclosure providing 360-degree views and climate control.

Recent upgrades include new Air Conditioning, water tanks, wiring, underwater lights, a new fore deck, and Awlgrip topsides (2022). A 2001 Hinckley galley renovation and 2017 complete paint job maintain her exterior appearance. Additional features include flybridge with newer Bimini and davit, in-hull bow lights, teak railings, custom window treatments, flat screen TV, JL speakers, Bose entertainment system, and ice maker.
